Every year we try and take a trip down to the Sand Dunes. Each year always brings a new little adventure and the kids love spending time there. This trip we enjoyed having the Dunes practically to ourselves as hardly anyone was there. The kids brought some friends and had a great time, building a little fort, flying the kite and running up and down the sand hills.
Afterwards we took a little side trip to go see Bishops's Castle which was pretty cool but not the safest place to be walking around in.
I think my favorite part of the day was driving through the mountains and seeing how beautiful our state is. Living down in the city I often forget how amazing it is. I also apparently forget we live in a state with bears because as we were driving, a great big brown bear ran right out in the middle of the highway and I was shocked to see it! Wish I could have gotten a picture of it!
We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do
This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.
