A Look Back on 2014

As we prepare to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to 2015 we wanted to take a moment and say thank you to all of you that continue to be a part of our lives.

Whether you are family...old friends...or new friends-each person has brought something to us and has made up this crazy thing we call our life.

It's been an interesting year full of lots of excitement and fun.... new jobs... new schools... travel... football and dance... but also a year that we had to suffer loss as we said goodbye to two important people. Grandpa Patrick and Zach we miss you but know you'll be cheering us on in our next adventures!


So here's to taking all of you with us into 2015-may our times together by happy ones
and our adventures be many!

Christmas

This year we made a decision that we needed a little different pace for Christmas and stayed home. It did mean that some traditions were changed a bit but it still turned out to be a great Christmas for This Jones Family. 

We had received our Christmas gift from Greg's dad and Evelyn a little early, it meant that we had lots of time over Christmas break to try it out. A ping pong table for the basement! It's already gotten so much use and has brought so many laughs and smiles....maybe a little yelling and screaming as well but we'll keep that part a secret!

Christmas Eve was spent staying close to home. We started out by going and taking some pictures down at the Broadmoor. Love the lights and festivities there!

Then we drove around to look at some of the Christmas lights around town. 

We settled at home making Gingerbread houses....Also with me being tortured by my brother and the kids with being tickled...I HATE being tickled!!

It was a nice quiet evening at home ending with comfy new PJ's, cozy socks, cuddles on the couch watching a Christmas movie and Santa being left some tea and crackers (I guess Santa likes that these days!).

Christmas Day started with Greg and I having to wake the kids up. I guess this is what happens when they get older but the excited to see what Santa had brought was still there. It was a great day with my mom, brothers and Papa and Marsha coming over to exchange gifts, relax and eat a wonderful meal.

The day ended with a family night out at the movies with the Iverson cousins. 

Great 2014 Christmas!

Zoo Tradition

It's a tradition each year to go to the zoo lights with the family and the Palmer/Vorhees clan. It was a bit cold this year but we made it work. 

Delivering Christmas Cheer

Each year the dance studio adopts a few families in need for the holidays. This year we were able to help deliver the gifts and groceries to those families. Made us all happy we could help and grateful for everything that we have!

Holiday Fun With Friends

Tonight we spent some time with some of our oldest friends. We hooked up the trailer to the car... Got it all decorated and drove around the neighborhood looking at lights. Such a fun time! 

Football Family Christmas

This year for our football party we changed it up a bit and did an ugly holiday attire theme. Greg was super sick but we still managed to have a good time. We love our football family!

Alyssa's Talent Show

This year Alyssa chose to sing in the Talent show with her friend Marlow. So proud of her for stepping out of her dancing talent and explore other talents. They did great! And thanks for the big sisters who came to support and watch her!
