We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do
This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.

How love is made in Alyssa's mind...
Tonight we were at the dinner table and Greg was talking to the girls about boys. He was explaining to them that they are never allowed to steal the other's boyfriend and they need to always stick up for eachother. He made them pledge to each other that they were best friends, sisters, they love eachother and they will always protect eachother...He went on to tell them that if one of them ever saw a boy being mean to the other, they should go up to them and tell them "leave my sister alone you stupid butt head". I explained that this was probably not a good idea b/c they would get in trouble at school for calling someone a name. So Greg decided it was better to tell them that boys aren't allowed to hug or kiss them until they are 21. Alyssa said "yeah b/c they have cooties". And Greg said "and girls have coodettes". Alyssa very simply says "and when they mix together, that makes love"...

ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I am so telling Tommy that our cooties made Lilly & Abby!!
ReplyDeleteLOL. That is the cutest thing I've ever heard. I love the things that kids come up with. The other day Trey was waving to me as I pulled out of the garage and when he went inside he said to Scott, "Dad, that is the cutest girl in the whole world." Kids make my day.
