We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do

This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.

We Love NY

Greg had a business trip to NY and ever since he and I went a few years ago, we've wanted to take the kids. When the trip came up we immediately booked the kids and I to meet up with him. We had such a great time despite "blizzard Nemo". The news was projecting quite the disaster in the city so everyone at home was pretty worried but as it turned out, we really weren't affected. NYC has the best snow management I have ever seen and kept the sidewalks and roads clear as the snow came down.  They literally would plow the snow and take it out of the city to dump it so that the area could continue to function.  Because of that amazing system we were able to tour the entire city. We had planned ahead for snow so we were able to stay dry and warm. Thursday night when we arrived we walked the SOHO area where our hotel was located and ate at a great pizza place-apparently the first pizzeria in the US. Friday we set out and walked to ground zero to see the new 9/11 memorial. It was a great site but we hope to go back again once the museum opens up. From there we took the subway to Times Square. The kids loved it there and had a great time walking around in Toys R Us and eating at Hard Rock. From there we walked all over town and saw FAO Schwarz, Central Park, Macy's, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City. We loved walking through Central Park and playing in the Snow. We also got a little window shopping in.  After dinner we had a early night in the hotel to rest and see what the storm brought over night. Saturday we woke up to about 6-8 inches of snow but it didn't stop us from going out. We decided that we would switch hotels to stay in Times Square so we packed everything up and moved. After getting settled, we went to the top of the Empire State Building-great views that day but so cold and windy up there.  From there we had a few treats and then went and got our tickets to see Newsies. We LOVED the show-the kids had a great time seeing their first Broadway show. After the show we took our very last trip out  onto Times Square to see all the lights. We settled in for the night and woke up to a limo that arrived to take us to the airport. It was a great and memorable trip and can't wait to go back-when it's a little warmer!
