Well a lot of it got shared on facebook anyway! Over Labor Day Weekend, we went to Vegas to celebrate Greg’s 30th a little early. We had a blast and were so thankful that we had friends to celebrate with! And we learned a lot too…we learned that Greg is pretty good at making the street people mad…Kyle is quite social and good at blackjack…Chris likes feather boas…Jim really likes to tip…Evelyn is very good at talking like a New Yorker…Stefany would fit in just fine with the family…JJ is great at taking care of other people…Jenna is great at getting Shannon to do anything..John is actually a cool person…and me-well there’s still a lot to be learned!
Me, Greg and Kyle left late Wednesday night and drove straight through to my aunts house in Vegas. We chatted with my cousin David and his wife Nicole for a bit before heading to Memphis Barbecue for lunch. They have the best wings and the best sweet apple tea!
From there, we checked into our hotel, got acquainted with the slots and tables, got a drink on the strip, observed some really interesting people and then went back to say hi to my aunt and uncle before going to sushi with David and Nicole.
Highlights at dinner were the cool sushi roll names like “My ex wife” and “Smells like my Ex Girlfriend”
Afterwards we stocked up our hotel room with beverages and spent the evening playing roulette.
Friday morning Mr. JJ Fogle joined us and we spent the day checking out some of the hotels, hanging out at the pool and eating lunch at Diabolo’s where we got free Margarita’s.
Later that night Chris and Stefany joined us and we were off to meet up with Jenna and John at Coyote Ugly which is where the party really began! I would give highlights but then again…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!….Oh okay apparently dancing on the bar is a little fun! After Coyote Ugly it was more time at the tables and slots! And then a little bit of party time in the rooms…
Saturday morning we met up with Jim and Evelyn for breakfast and then turned right around and met up with Jen Parker for lunch although those of us that went out Friday night weren’t really in a position to be eating quite yet. After some of us (Greg) napped, it was time to head to Hofbrauhaus to celebrate Greg.
The food was amazing, the birthday spankings were hilarious and the chicken dance is always a classic!
After dinner it was time to see Peepshow which overall was a good show. Sorry boys that you didn’t get to see all you wanted!
Several hours later after everyone splitting up, we all ended back up at the Mirage and Treasure Island. Turns out Jenna and I are pretty good at street entertaining and all of us are great at singing in the car! Also turns out that you don’t have to go into a bar to dance to the music…guys dressed like Jack Sparrow are not nice…John would be okay with Kyle and Jenna getting married…Pizza at NYNY is the best at 2:00 am…and Jenna and I found our calling to become rich in Pueblo! Thanks Greg for being our taxi driver that night!!
Sunday was a little more low key. We had lunch and walked some of the other hotels on the strip before saying goodbye to everyone. Later that night Greg and I had dinner with Jim and Evelyn , visited the coke store and then went to Fremont Street to meet up with Jenna and John.
Monday morning we were headed back home. And who knew that heading home could be such an adventure as well-lets just say that it is worth it to have AAA when you run out of gas in the middle of nowhere!
