We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do

This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.

We Need A Little Christmas Now…

If you are a DU person…past or present, this song reminds you of….crowding into tight places, trying to leap while avoiding the lights hanging from the ceiling, white Christmas sweatshirts, big bows, shaking hands with the audience…..and for what?

For those of you that aren’t DU people, this song is a reflection of our dancers at Christmas time-getting out in the community and spreading a little holiday cheer to the elderly that have found themselves in homes, that maybe aren’t so much like home and who all too often don’t have loved ones to come and visit with them during the holidays.  The last two weekends before Christmas, our dance family travels around to the nursing homes in our area to dance to Christmas favorites and visit with the residents.  Each year, we finish with some smiles on faces, hearts that have grown stronger and a few stories to take into the next year.

I’m so thankful that I had this opportunity when I was a dancer and now my girls have this opportunity to take their talent and share it with these people.

This year was extra special because we got to take a trip to visit with our own Great Grandma Jones who was in need of a little holiday cheer!
