So when you sell Girl Scout Cookies, the troop earns money from each box sold so the girls can use the money to do something that they would like to do. When I was little, we didn't ever go with the traditional camping trip or outings to earn badges. We always used the money to do fun things like spend the night at Embassy Suites, go out to nice dinners, Elitch's...Water World...you get the picture. So this year when Kaylie and Alyssa did scouts, I gave them a few options. I presented the traditional type of activities and the fun girlie activities...of course they went with the second option. Together, we planned a fun day filled with things just for them. We began the day by going to McDonald's for breakfast and then we took six little girls up to Denver to go to Snip Its where they each got their nails painted, hair done and a makeup lesson. First they got to practice on the mom's and then they got to do their own makeup. They each got to take home a bag with makeup, body glitter, ballerina tutu's, wands and flower halo's. After Snip It's we all went to Red Robin where they loved that they got to order their own food including milkshakes. We gave out the badges that they had earned during the year. After lunch we went to the mall where each girl got a gift card to spend at Claire's-probably their favorite activity! After Claire's we went to Picture People where each girl got to have a photo shoot and then we did some shots as a group. Each girl got to take home a picture of themselves and a group shot. It was such a fun day and one they're sure to remember.
We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do
This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.
