It was a rather blustery day

Living in Colorado we get to know the extremes of weather. This past weekend we were outside in shorts enjoying the low 80's sunshine. Yesterday on the other hand we were having a blizzard! This really wasn't anything compared to the blizzards that we've seen in the past like the blizzard of 1997 where the entire city was snowed in for 4 full days or the blizzards of 2007 I think where we had about 7 that year. But regardless, it was still a blizzard which made for an interesting drive home. We live out in Falcon so the weather is always a little bit worse out our way. Nobody ever believes us but Woodmen out to our house is probably one of the most dangerous stretches of road because there is nothing to block the wind which makes for some really horrible roads! We left work at 1:45 and didn't get home until after 3:30. We recorded various points of our drive home including the car that caught on fire trying to get up a hill, the plow that almost rolled into our vehicle and our zero visibility driving out to our house at 10mph. At least the kids had a fun time playing in the snow after the sun came out today.
