We are so glad that you are visiting our blog. It is here that you can learn all about This Jones Family and all that we do

This Jones family began in 1997 when Greg and I started as friends over a Christmas break. That friendship soon turned to a relationship and as time passed by, we kept growing together, not really knowing that we were building our future together. Three years after we started dating, we made our first commitment to create a family together and promised forever to eachother. Taylor was born in 2000 and two years later he became a big brother to twin girls Kaylie and Alyssa. We're a small little family that loves to spend all of our time together. This is how our story began, please check back frequently to see how our family continues.

For New Years Eve we kept things simple and stayed at home. It makes it so much easier when you have kids to just hang out at home, have some of your favorite foods, drink if you want or don't want and if you get tired and feel like going to sleep before midnight-you have your own bed to crawl into (which is what I ended up doing). This year we made all sorts of snacks-green chili with tortillas, gaucomole, cheese spreads and crackers, chips and cheese sauce, stuffed banana peppers, salami rolls...so yum! My mom and Bruce stopped by before going to dinner and then James, Sarah and the boys came over to help us snack and play some more guitar hero (you would think we would have played enough of this game by now). At 10:00 pm we watched the ball drop in New York and the kids toasted with sparkling cidar. I fell asleep watching tv, the girls fell asleep watching Greg and Taylor play more wii...Greg and Taylor ended up being the only ones who lasted until midnight. This was a celebration in itself b/c Taylor always falls asleep before midnight. All in all it was a nice evening and a great end to 2008. We look forward to 2009 and wish everyone a safe and happy new year.
